Remote Summer SIOP® Institute

TESOL Trainers is offering its popular Summer SIOP Institute remotely in 2026. This set of four workshops provides educators with a clear understanding of the SIOP framework, a set of highly engaging model lessons, practical TESOL techniques, and tips that encourage excellence in teaching and learning.

SIOP® - Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol is a framework that K-12 teachers can employ to better support multilingual learners. Participants who attend this remote training session will leave with practical tools to help design and deliver highly engaging lessons that lead to higher learning outcomes.

SIOP (Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol) is a K-12 framework that supports educators in planning, teaching, and reflecting on their lessons.  It was initially designed to help educators support English learners, but the creators discovered the positive impact it had on all learners. Participants who attend this remote training session walk away being able to implement SIOP strategies and techniques that set all students up for success.

This remote workshop series gives teachers a solid look at the SIOP framework and how it is used in K-12 schools to set all students up for success by helping them:

• Develop the ability to engage students 90-100% of the time.
• Weave metacognition techniques in all lessons.

• Use the Conscious Competence Matrix to promote teacher development.
